I dreamt a dream
It was divine.
"Why?" you ask
Because you were mine.
You said I was beautiful,
which made me cry.
But because it was a dream,
I dreamt a lie.
So, why can't it be true?
My love is so real.
Why can't I share with you
This love I feel.
Now as I sit here,
And think of what our love could do,
I'll tell myself,
"No matter what, my heart is for you."
I've said my prayers
And I'm going to sleep.
Now, I'll dream another dream
And I'll give you my heart to keep.
