Forgotten Memories

By: Andrea R GENTRY-Ferguson

As I sit here now staring into space
Trying hard to remember your face
The way you laughed and your smile
but all I can remember is that aisle.

Walking alone to say good-bye...
Knowing I really wanted to cry.
I know you're in a better place,
full of Angel's and God's grace

Now that you are gone, people say
Memories aren't forever, they'll never stay.
But I tell them that I can see
that forgotten memories shall never, never
overcome me.
