Words
by EbonyJoyJackson
Words of a lifetime come through and through my mind
I often confirm with my heart to help give me a sign
And when I met you, yes, I knew you were mine
Because of the way you stared at me when you looked into my eyes

Words of a lifetime come through and through my soul
My heart let in the new and let go of the old
I've become a new woman with her withers re-sown
Time to stop being afraid of being accident-prone

Time to get on my feet and start a new life
A life where I could become a wife
Time to not be afraid of what the future might bring
To let love in and not fly away with the breeze

I need to learn how to trust
How to stop taking things for granted
How to be inside of another
I can't go on feeling so insecure

When you know you love me and I love you
And love is the key to see us through
I have some issues I have to handle within me
And if can't handle them, then words are all we can ever be.
