Your message (300 char max):
Ebb Tide
by LeAnnPuglisi
Brisk breeze nipping at my face, icicles hanging on your words
Unlike the shivers you gave on warm summer nights.
Shared thoughts, shared laughter, shared smiles,
Loneliness, not shared but endured.

Aching hurt wells up inside, then ebbs back like the tide
Leaving behind the broken wreckage of what you tossed aside.
Shattered twigs of dreams floating softly, drifting aimlessly,
Strings of memories, shards of hope.

You turn and walk away, the cold shoulder now complete
But you can’t steal our memories of a purer time
Love is the warm sunshine, still there for those who seek it.
Hope soaring lazily over the breakers like the gulls

Peace in the ebb tide mirrors my soul.
