Why Is It...
by SharonDarleneBarker
Why is it, when I lay down to rest at night and wake in
the morning...my thoughts are still of you...
During the day I catch myself thinking of you and I am
   smiling...
Why is it, when a gaggle of geese fly over and I run to see
them...knowing of your love of them...I smile...
Your love of nature and humanity is strong...you have
   great passion and honor...
Why is it. when we first met...my heart wouldn't stop racing...
   and your smile melted me...
To be close to you...talking...laughing...embracing...waiting
   for your return...together...
Why is it, when I think of all the years I let pass...not letting
   anyone close...I smile...
If I hadn't I might have missed the chance for you to come
   into my life...
Why is it, when my day is done...I come home waiting, perhaps,
   for your call...
Nothing else matters...nothing more important...I find myself
reading your stories, your poems...you're with me...
Why is it, when I see a Father with his Son...I think of you and
   Josh...
Knowing how hard you have to fight others....Wanting him to
know that, although, you are not always together...He is always in
   your heart and thoughts...
Why is it, when some ask me...what makes you so special...He's so
   far away...
I just look at them and smile...for everything you are and everything
you do is what I have hoped for...the miles are nothing when my
   heart keeps you close...

Why Is It...Because I Love You...
