You came into my life 
like a wave
A sudden rush
of coolness
Enraptured my body
The waves crashed
into the shore 
you whispered
sweet words
Caught in 
the undertoe 
of you 
I could 
not let go
But as the wave
retracts
You have drawn 
away, too
Our love
Our future
Was written 
in the sand
and washed
away bu the
wave called tomorrow
